I vividly remember the early 2000s shopping trips; strolling through the mall with my Mom, and eager to see what I could convince her to buy. One store she would always find herself peaking into was Cache; a stylish dimly lit store. As a child, I loved to observe all the array of vibrant gowns, beaded pieces, and statement fashion staples that decorated the interior. I recall many teenagers being accompanied by their parents in Cache; as they shopped for elegant prom dress to wear.
I knew the store was clearly out of my age bracket; but I loved walking in to catch a glimpse of the latest style moments up on display. Last year, I spotted a see-thru top from cache on Depop; and unfortunately it wasn’t my exact size. Four days later, after I completely forgot about the top; I found it at the thrift store. The only difference was its beautiful hue of blue!
